Outing With Mooky _2nd AuG

"There Was a Time when people said that we cannot make it, but we did.." Finally a free day for me, and yet i got to collect things for kor kor.. zzz luckily mooky went with me or most likely i will chicken out or be bored by the whole thing and scold da ge.. hehehe..

Since i am out and "holidaying" i will go on the food escapade as said!! Here is the Itinary for the day. It is really going to be a super long post. Here goes:

1st Stop: Lunch at Hog's Breath Cafe

This 1st picture shows carnivore at Chimjes. It was where i had my 21st Birthday.

Finally reached Hog's Breath Cafe. Can't wait to eat as i didn't have breakfast and for lunch it is already like 2pm.. It was my first time using my I-CHQS and Crave 141 Deals card! Finally, before school re-open i get to literally pig out. Yum Yum.


Since it is a 1-for-1 deal, we tried to order something of the same price, well approximately anyway. But the service standard was really bad.. i had to get my own menu! They rather serve expats than us! If not for the 1-for-1 deal, i probably would have left. Finally we placed an order - full slab of BBQ Pork Ribs, and red snapper with prawns in calamansi sauce. Bill with ribs = 29.50 and red snapper = 28. bill with gst + service charge = ard $35.

This is the full slab of pork ribs. Mooky's side dish is mashed potatoes and salad. The mashed potatoes was really awesome. I liked it the best for the side dishes.

As i was eating with mooky, it wasn't nice to have beef. He is allergic to cow after all :P Here the slogan says: "4 out of 4 pigs agrees eat more beef!" since we didn't eat beef, we are not realy pigs. The ambience was quite nice thought the service really spoils the mood. I even went to the counter to pay my bills. *SIGH*

After our meal, Mooky needed to go Daiso at PS and i need to go Plaza by the park to claim the prize - A CD by timeberland. After shopping at PS, we went to Cathay to catch a movie: "Knocked Up" Here is the trailer from youtube.

Well it is after all a M18 Sex comedy. Looks a little like Jeni & Juno Oldies style.

Since the show starts in about 1 hour time, we lurked around The Cathay for a while and i decided to have Ben & Jerry's! So sinful..

But 1st off: i took this gundam model pictures at E2-max zone. Quite nice, though the one i bought for deming is much better.

But the slider looks cool.. the 'Wing' looks normal lor..

And the Sinful Ben & Jerry's! Yeah!! We ordered the 3 scoops one - 12.50.

Flavours are Jamican, Fish Food and Banana Choco. Love the chunks of dark chocolate found in the ice cream. Nice~

1st Time sitting outside. The view is much better, though alot of XMM and thier bf roaming ard. I feel OLD.. Zzz

After the movie, i still had one more prize to collect, located at Robertson Quay. with mooky's help, we found that we could take bus 64 there. While waiting for the bus, i saw the Ben & Jerry's Van. So interesting.

Finally reached a foriegn place. It is quite near Liang court so i suggested we head over there once we are finshed here. Really interesting place, we should come to such places more often. Singapore seems so big for a moment, that i couldn't find 48 Riverside. We got hold of a travellers Map and still was lost until we found a lamp post showing our location. It was right in fornt of us! By the river view was really nice..

After collecting the prize, we walked pass a musem, M18 musem in fact. It is has a very strong theme: Gay Theme in fact, organised by Fridae.com. They actually had a exhibition for theme "kissing" too, but was rejected by MDA.

The right shows a drawing of a ****-Butch. can't remember the name though so i used stars.

This picture depicts olden men enjoying "guys nite out" typical chess players. Pang Zhang and Wang Zhongxian. So in olden times guys dun always have sex. :)

Lastly, the left picture shows a cabinet full of wine. In chinese customs, parents would store up wine for big occasions but usually for thier childern's wedding. So what the artist is trying to say is the outcome of these wine bottles is uncertain. This is the best piece of the whole exhibition, i feel.. :) There was one really "strong" one - it states that privates parts if showed as vegetables and fruits, most people will NOT feel offended at all. No pictures as it is quite illegal.

Scene from Robertson Quay and Audio House at Liang Court. It shows a Mosquito Buster. Using CO2, UV Light and Heat to suck the mosquitos. If it was cheaper i probably would have got it for my hall.

And this is a really kool fridge. I want this!! it has a TV beside the ice dispenser. All in one. but the price is too much to handle. Rather get more food.

Then i went to Medi-Ya to see the Jap Goodies. Lots of imported stuff but all too expensive for my taste. And Then ----- i saw this shop having beto offers! only after 8.45pm. After picking and choosing, i finally decided on this all in one bento set. Original cost $14. Now: $7.25! 50% discount! have pork, chicken, spagedi, vege, tamago, and dang-O. :P Although if it was vinegar rice i would have liked it better. I hated the sour plum sauce, though mooky loved it.

After sharing the bento, we headed to MOS to club. there wasn't alot of people so it was a breeze..

It was a Foodie day for me. I got to go Hog's Breath and visit lots of interesting places. Hope to have more adventures next time but as school re-opens, ah tai and mooky would probably be studying and i'll be busy earning cash till kor kor comes back and take over for me. Starting to feel the stress le. But still enjoying the process of teaching, though i am not sure if i could produce the result the kids wants, regardless of mentoring or tution.

~ We got to treasure every second we have in our lives; there is no turning back or regretting once it is over -- you are only 18 once. Ciao~
