Outings with Frenz + Family 1st week AUG

It hasn't been long since i blog lor.. Zzzz Stop bombing my tag board. I will blog but not as often due to work+school commitments. As least NYC was understanding. This post is gonna be long as i finally got the photos.. It will be divided into two parts so pls bear with my ranting.. DoZo~..

As i have said, my memory card reader for my laptop is down, so i haf to use JD's Lappy to help transfer my files. Sorry for the wait. Here is our Room - Hall 9 blk 46 room 3-878. Enjoy..


5+1 person in my room and yet so spacious. Strting to hate it here due to the mosquitoes. Need insect repellent. SHould haved stayed near the roads. I hate the forest. Zzz.. From Left, JD, his soon-to-be-hall nominee (king) friend, Dongz, tai and mooky. Second picture show another part of our room, the tv, fridge and JD blocking the artistic view of his Yan Dao fren. He is a COM holder just like tai. They dun make COM holders as they used to. More "Zhen Hao" types coming up.. :P

PART I:
Next up, is my fateful outing on Wed (8th August) So sad, tuition cancelled and my student nv tell me, until i reach his house. *SIGH. Life's cruel.. Well the plan still carries on - i met mooky in city hall as planned and looked forward to the 1-for-1 Nectar thingy at Chocz... Yum Yum..

Ok.. 1st picture is the national day Brownies sold at Carrefour. Wonder who will eat such stuff? hehe.. and the next 3 pictures? A new Jap restaruant at Marina Square right opposite of the Ramen restaruant, same level as GV.

Here Lies the wonderous and yet sinful delight Sucko - copyright from Max Brener. Chocz is much cheaper though and i forgot that mooky was allergic to milk.. zzz drank so much milk that i think it overflow from my brest. LMAO.. Taste wise, i still prefer Brener.

To end the day, we saw some interesting performances at Marina and Suntec. and the last picture.. heheh.. it was at the macdonals Macpherson, i met kenny tan for supper to pass him his long due Bdae gift.. Tired.. Shag.. the next day still got to teach tution.. Sad.. *SOBxx..

Part II:

Outing with my family at Taste Paradise and the Indian Buffet.. (Special thanks to Kopi for the indian Vege buffet)

I booked a place at Taste Paradise at 7.30pm. my itenary for the family that night was - Starters: Beijing Duck ; Mains: Vegetarian Buffet (Indian) ; Dessert: Swensen Ice cream. Budget : $100 SGD.

Before meeting for dinner, the airforce guyz had a movie gathering at AMK hub, which i never been before and was totally lost. Thanks to Kenny Tan for searching for me, otherwise i would have went to the information counter to page for them.. LOL.. B4-- B4 that, i met soon kiat at IKEA to get his items he needed for his room makeover. We left seperately and met at AMK. Nice timing as we both reached at the same time.. almost.. We watched Rush Hour 3, mindless laughter and lucky hting it was short.. Jd asked me CA (circuit Analysis) during our outing.. so pissed with CA that i believed i could do.. or not.. *sigh.. <>

After a long delibration, we decided to go Plaza Sing as JD needed to return starhub box or something.. thus we tagged along, as time was still early. but by 6pm, lai tuck and JD left, i went to china town and kenny, soon kiat and kopi left for dinner+ pool.

Reached Chinatown early thus i went to renagade the places i needed to go, make the appropriate arrangements then took my time to walk around.

Before i go on and on.. here is the intro to the food!!!!

1st: Appetizers. Jap beans fried with chili, and on the left, is nice sambal chili and the green stuff is ginger paste. taste like the samsui chicken sauce. *SLURP..

Main dish: Beijing Ya!!! see the duck size? on the right is the amount of meat given. Approx 10 pieces only for 8 persons.. Zzz.. so small yet the best duck i have eaten. The egg skin is not thick, just nice, with the aroma of the leek seeping through well mixed with the duck sauce and meat. It really just melts in the mouth. *Savour-ing the moment once again..

Here shows the Teapot and the remains. It is too good to be taken at such a fast rate, thus we ate slowly, and talked.. as usual.. chinese people love leaving one last piece on the dish.. wonder why...

My father was curious where the rest of the duck went-- and ta-dah.. we asked for the remains to be fried with ginger and garlic and spring onion. The meat here taste even better than the egg-roll. The meat was sooooo tender that the juices splurt out in the mouth with flavour of the ginger and spring oninon just lightly, not covering the perfect fresheness of the duck flavour. Too good to be true.. yet the price states that i am not dreaming. Just for the appetizers plus the duck & its remains: $92SGD Nutsz.. so near budget, and everybody is still hungry but full of tea.. (thank GOD it was a 1-for-1 bijing duck, so i can still bring some one else to savour it.. hehe.. wonder who to bring.. maybe more worth to bring family cause frenz are to giam siap.. LOL)

After the expensive meal i continued the itenary but at the EOD, we did not have desserts as everyone was too full. on sat & sun, the indian vegetarian restaruant serves buffet style. Just FYI.. for 8 persons, i gave only i had left - 20 bucks. My aunt and mother chided me for being a miser.. little did they know about the price of the duck. SIGH.. gome~.. didn't mean to "DONATE" so little..
